New FO June 2013

It's been a busy month with our daughter Courtney visiting from College.  We have been promising her for years that when we bought a house she could decorate her room the way she wants.  Luckily she chose some fabric I had been keeping for something special my Strawberry Fields.  The antique bed is from a home that was often visited by Butch Cassidy.  I'll show the entired room another time but wanted to get this posted in time for the NewFO Challenge.

I just did a simple stipple all over this quilt to get it done quickly so she could enjoy it while she's here.

The Doll Quilt Swap I sent to Leonie in Germany was to be made in a different shape than square or rectangle so this is what I came up with;

And I did manage to get a dress made for Miss Sasha which I incorrectly thought was for school.  Guess it's now a play dress.  Don't look at the dirt and already worn ribbon.  I think she takes after her grandma, always a mess.

Gotta get going on June's Doll quilt and finish some throw pillows for Courtney's bedroom.  See you soon.  Vickie

  3. If you don't mind my asking.....what is the name of the quilt pattern you used? It is gorgeous and I have a FQ bundle that I think would be perfect for this pattern.

  6. I just love the colors in the quilt you made for you daughter and it looks great on the antique bed. The colors on the hexie doll quilt are great together. I like making doll quilts too. Maybe I try doing a hexie one. I haven't done anything with hexies yet, but I love looking at Bonnie Hunter's lovely hexie quilts. It sure looks like Miss Sasha likes her new dress!
