U R PRICELESS BLOG HOP

It's that time we have all been waiting for, it's the U R Priceless Blog Hop and today is my day.  These cute little coin purses are so easy and addictive that I couldn't make just one so I made well a dozen at least.

For a complete list of the blogs participating click HERE at Sew Me Something Good.

Creative Notions You are Here

Many thanks for our Cheerleaders Kathrine and the Vivacious Mdm Samm and thank you so much for giving us such fun blog hops to inspire our creative minds.

Below are the first six coin purses I made, if you click on the image it becomes bigger and easier to see.

These little purses make the best gifts and went like hotcakes when the girls in the family saw them.  If I had known how easy they were to make I would have made them years ago.  I'm so happy to have been introduced to a new addiction.  ;)
Then I made a few more...
Denim with ladybug button.

 Heart Handles
Burlap, this one is my favorite.
 Ladybugs

 Cute Red Cherry Handles
The Yellow Buttons were the inspiration for this one.

Pink and Silver with Studs

More stamped burlap and a larger bag or two
This one was made using Texture Magic.  If you haven't used it you should give it a try.  Just sew it to the back of your fabric using your favorite method and then steam with your iron and it shrinks and gives you all kinds of texture.

This is Lilly, she just watches and waits.

Be sure to visit the other blogs who are hopping along with the UR Priceless Blog Hop and thank you again Mdm Samm and Katherine for hosting this fun blog hop.

As promised I have a little gift since this is my 100th blog post and the UR Priceless Blog Hop
A Stars and Stripes Layer Cake for one lucky winner.

  3. Gorgeous purses. I am seriously thinking of making a few for Christmas. I would love one in bright colours so that I can find it at the bottom of my purse and it would have to be made out of something quite sturdy as my bags get thrown around a lot. Thanks for sharing and for the opportunity on your draw.

I'm not sure if it would turn out to be my favourite, but the other day on the blog hop I saw some coin purses made out of Laurel Birch fabrics and I have Laurel Birch fabric packed away with all our stuff in storage and I'd just love to have access to it turn some of into a coin purse.

Thanks for the giveaway and the chance to win!

  28. Vickie-Gosh, it's like going to the ice cream store and trying to pick a flavor-so many cute little purses. Thanks for reminding me of Texture Magic as I bought some awhile back and haven't used it. I've got so many scraps, but it appears that one should select a fabric design that is enhanced by the texture, rather than a complicated design that might get lost in the texture. From California, thanks for sharing

  46. I love how you used different fabrics. The ladybug purse I think is my favorite, but they are all beautifully done.

The idea of using denim is great. Who doesn't have old jeans that no longer fit. :( The upside to that is they can be cut up and used for many different sewing projects.

Was it difficult getting the denim into the frame? Did you still use the fusible fleece with the denim?
