Lets Book It

It's been a while since I blogged.  I'm so sad to have been away for so long.  We are busy living life here at my house these days.  I have been doing very little sewing and quilting but have spent some time in the Quilt Cottage doing some much needed organizing.  My fabric was so jumbled that I couldn't even see most of it so I started searching blogs, Pinterest, anywhere that would give me some ideas for fabric organization ...

So far I am up to about 400 yards of fabric in my stash but that doesn't count the fat quarters or pieces that are in the bins.  I had no idea that I had so much fabric but on the other hand I do remember some pretty good sales when I got the fabric for 75% off at least a couple of times.  Doesn't it look Beautiful?!

Today I'm hooking up with Sharon at Vrooman Quilts for  "Let's Book It".  I was so glad to have some motivation sent my way when I saw the tab on Sharon's blog.  The goal is to find one of those magazines or books full of projects you have wanted to make and actually make something.  I chose the new Quiltmaker Block of the Month to start with.

These are the blocks for January thru April and I can't wait for the next Magazine to come out!  While I'm at it I may as well hook up with Cat Patches for New FO 2014.

  1. Your fabric re-organization looks wonderful. I have all the 'block' books and haven't even used them, so it is nice to see that someone has pulled one out and actually playing with it. Great blocks and I love the use of buttons, too.

  7. Your fabric folding is great. What sis you use to fold it onto? We bought acid free 8.5 x 11 cardboard at the comic book store.I have rolled fabric for two friends on these. One has at least 600 rolls (1 to 20 yards) and 50 plus boxes unrolled.

  8. What sweet blocks. Who can't resist getting fabric when it's marked down so much. I'm the same way, but as long as I keep using it, then it's all good!!
