March projects

I found my way to the sewing room again this month and tackled a couple of projects.  One of my favorites is this BOM A Tisket a Tasket from Bunny Hill Designs from, ahem... 2010.  I have just about finished up the hand appliqued blocks and am itching to put them all together into a quilt top to save for when I get the chance to longarm quilt it.

Just look at this darling wall hanging from the adorable Kim at Kimberbell Stitches.  This pattern is posted in the Spring 2014 issue of Quilts & More and Kim has agreed to create a new wall hanging for each season.  Kim came to a quilt retreat we had here in town (my first ever) and presented her adorable trunk show.  What a talented lady!

The Quiltmaker magazine came today and I can't wait to get started on the next installment of the BOM project. I did finish the last two blocks from the last magazine.  It's called Love Blooms Here.

Last month I went to a Quilt Guild meeting, I've only been to one other guild meeting so it was fun to try something new.  They started doing a Round Robin and the instructions were to make a center block and this is what I came up with.  This last month we were to add a border using half square triangles to measure 3-6 inches after a stop border, I think the zigzag border works well.  I'm really excited to see how project turns out.

There are so many projects and such little time!!!

What a pleasure to hook up with other passionate people at  Cat Patches for 2014 New FO Challenge and at Vrooman Quilts for Let's book it.  Go on over and check out what new and creative things are in the works.

  1. I remember the Tisket/Tasket - at least you have all the blocks done (shamefully I never got past the first two). Lots of lovely projects that surely inspire.
