It's Time Again...

For the...

This month I have been busy, not working, not playing, just waiting for our new house to close so that we can move into it.  54 years old and I'm living with my mom, lol.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I'd move back in with Mom.  You know it has been a lot of fun and I have found that she is a very fun and happy lady.  I have been able to get a few things done sewing wise and a bunch of things started and can't wait to show them to you.  First off this month's Schnibble made from 2 1/2 inch squares my version of the "SPECK" from Miss Rosie's Quilt Company.
Fabric is "Happy Howl-O-Ween" from Deb Strain for Moda.
Next my Doll Quilt Swap, this month my partner is Carolyn.  She lives in Canada and hasn't received it yet so if you are reading this Carolyn close your eyes.
Our theme was Harvest.

Here's what I came up with;

I love Batiks!
Mom and I had some fun making decorative pins and I made a pincushion to put them into.
Think I'll be giving them away with my swaps.
I'm in a fun block swap with some friends and made 12 of this block to share.  There are 2 common fabrics that will be in all of the blocks the purple dot and the stripe.
But I have to show you the block that my friend Cherry (no blog) sent me it is just perfect and says it all.... "Don't Scare Me, I Poop Easily."   I laugh every time I think of it. I hope you do too.
Well I'm off to the sewing room to get started on a couple more projects.  I have signed up with Mdm Samm from www.sewwequilt.com for a Coin Purse Blog Hop happening sometime in November as well as Holiday Lane Blog Hop in late November.  Guess what everyone's getting for Christmas this year...:)  See  you soon.  Vickie.
