Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012!

This week we say goodbye to 2011 and all of the quilting projects that were completed/started that year. Hello to 2012 and all of the plans and dreams it brings.  This year I plan to finish one quilt in between starting a new one.  I think this is more realistic than planning to finish all of the started projects (which are too numerous to count).
This year we will complete the Nice People Nice Things (NPNT) stitch along that we started in September.  I'm stitching along with Kelly at Charming Chatter and a few other talented ladies until all of the blocks are completed.  This week I chose the Party Time block to represent the new year.  It has been so much fun stitching along to make this cute quilt, I can't wait to see it finished but then I will miss these weekly posts.  Guess we'll have to start another stitch along!
Here are a few of the projects I plan to start or finish this year.

This one believe it or not is 2/3 done.  I ran out of time just before Christmas and decided it would be beautiful next year.  I love the muted colors of the fabrics.  The next one I'll start is "OH MY STARS"  link is on the right.  I encourage you all to go check it out.  I fell in love with it the second I saw it.

Next I'll finish this one.  It was a block of the month but the quilt shop closed and it never got finished but I do have most of the blocks done.

Oh how I love the fabrics in this one.

I want to start and finish these this year...wish me luck.
Loving the purples in this Buggy Barn book Positively Crazy.

I custom quilted one like this for a friend and it was so beautiful!  It is one of Anka's Treasures.

I'm going to make several out of this book it has so many pretty quilts in it I can't make just one!

Ok...I'm in love with the wonky star that Rachel Griffith made.  I have the ingredients in this autographed quilt book that I've been drooling over.

I'm gonna have to make one of each of these because I need to...One for each month of the year.

For the scraps...I've been holding off making a scrappy quilt but I think this one will do the trick.
Ooooh and this one is so pretty, good for scraps too...

This dang thing has been hanging out in the quilt room for 10 years of so and I need to get it finished, it's gonna be a great one for one of the grandkids to take home if I can part with it when it gets done.
Pretty and bright, I hope I have enough fabric because I don't think I'm going to be able to find it now.

I haven't even scratched the surface on the ones that are started...there are at least 4 BOM that are part way done.  A good new years resolution I guess,  good luck with all of yours.  And...I'm going to stretch my skills on this bloggie thing and try to do a few more tutorials if ya'll want them that is.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and yours.  I hope the new year brings health and happiness to everyone you care for.
